Watching in meditation is when we just accept whatever is there. We don’t bother whatever comes up. No brooding about why something is there, why it is not there. If we can just accept, then the mind starts to recede and become quiet. This is the purpose of meditation; to become quiet in the mind.
In the same way, in our daily lives also, if we can accept a result that comes without going into brooding, our mind can recede and become quiet.
